GZDoom is the latest version targeting current systems with modern graphics hardware. Although the parent ZDoom codebase has been discontinued, the latest official release is available here for posterity. I realize this game is new, but jesus this seems like really basic stuff an engine should be able to handle.ZDoom now comes in multiple flavours! The primary port, GZDoom, sports advanced hardware (OpenGL) and enhanced software rendering capabilities, while the port LZDoom serves as an alternative with a different feature set, detailed below. I would really rather not use Borderless Window mode, I'm playing at 1440p on Nightmare+ graphics settings, and really don't want to sacrifice my available GPU processing power just because this game doesn't want to play nice with an extra monitor. I can hear it's taking my mouse input from the menu "clicks", it just won't display the game window anymore. I have to force close then re-open the game. However this runs into it's own issue, because I can't ALT+Tab to the other monitor - it locks up the game window and won't display after tabbing back in. In Borderless Windowed, it finds the primary display just fine. If I disable the secondary monitor, ALT+Tab out, then re-enable the display, it goes back to the secondary monitor and blacks out my primary when I tab back in. The only thing that fixes my issue is either disabling my secondary monitor, or disabling Fullscreen mode. Manually changing primary display with Windows settingsĭisplay settings are all defaults in NVIDIA control panel Manually changing primary and focus display with NVIDIA The only thing that changes is my Monitor 1 doesn't get "blacked out" when I set it to Monitor 2 in gameĭeleting the settings in %USERPROFILE%/Saved Games

This displays the game on the wrong monitor each time

Manually changing the monitor in-game with settings Today the game boots up on the wrong monitor and blacks out the primary display. I can't seem to figure out what the hell the issue is.
